The principal position offers a 240-day contract and salary commensurate with educational training and experience.
Qualifications include five years’ teaching experience and three years’ building principal experience (or equivalent), with a master’s degree and proper SC secondary administrative certification. Requisite skills include effective communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership in curriculum, experience in technology, a record of promoting affirmative action and equal opportunity, and creativity in developing and implementing successful professional development programs, as well as any other qualifications the Board of Trustees may require.

To qualify for this position, the individual should possess Gifted/Talented endorsement, South Carolina certification in one or more Middle School core academic areas, and secondary certification in the same core academic areas. The candidate should also meet the NCLB definition of Highly Qualified. Individuals in the process of completing the Gifted/Talented endorsement are invited to apply. The position requires a commitment to plan and assist in after-school programs and presentations. This position also requires a willingness to participate in additional training and professional development opportunities in the areas of but not limited to technology, arts integration, and curriculum development.
